The Lead IT Financial Analyst is a professional-level position responsible for IT Financial reporting, the ordering and managing of all IT assets across the company, Hardware and Software (License and Maintenance) renewals and the annual development of the IT financial budget (Expense and Capital). As an integral part of Rush Enterprises Information Technology group, this full-time permanent position provides efficient IT financial, procurement, contract and asset management services.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and Align IT with Corporate and Finance business strategy.

  • Provide oversight and guidance to IT personnel regarding financial matters. Work with each Manager, Director and SR-Director in IT, in developing the annual IT Budget, quarterly tracking of IT Capital spend, forecasting and variance, and monthly reporting of IT operating spend and variances.

  • Provision and track all IT procurement requests for business units across the entire company (offices located across the United States and Canada). Work with managers to ensure contracts are reviewed by Legal and signed by CIO as necessary.

  • Manage IT maintenance, support, and licensing agreements and renewals.

  • Maintain the IT Hardware and Software asset database.

  • Create and maintain an approved equipment and price list of IT assets.

  • Prepare, review, and validate IT purchase requests, purchase orders, scope of work documents and vendor maintenance contracts.

  • Create and maintain data on vendor contacts, contract, and service level performance.

  • Analysis of IT asset and infrastructure costs.

  • Lead cost reduction opportunities.

  • Negotiating prices and service levels with IT vendors.

  • Handle billing and payment inquiries.

  • Assist in developing the annual budget and three-year strategy plan, detailing cost expectations, along with supporting strategic and tactical plans.

Basic Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or IT related degree.

  • Eight or more years direct work experience in an IT purchasing or finance procurement capacity.

  • Experience with IT Asset Management (Hardware and Software).

  • Experience with Technology contracts and their likely cost implications throughout the technology asset Lifecyle.

  • Microsoft Office application suite experience.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Highly collaborative, willing to help colleagues and business partners.

  • Strong Financial acumen, analytical and data presentation skills.

  • Experience interacting with and presenting to senior leadership.

  • A positive, can-do attitude and customer service focused approach that will enable you to deal with challenging situations with integrity, empathy, sincerity, and patience.

  • Two or more years’ experience working with SAP, ITSM/ITIL, and ServiceNow

  • Experience managing communication services (cellular, voice & data)

  • Managing RFP processes desired.
